101 things in 1001 days.

So, I was kind of nervous starting a new blog. I mean, how do you get a glimpse of a person's personality enough to see if their blog is something worth reading?

I stumbled across Mackenzie Horan's "101 in 1001" blog post, which inspired me to write my own. I figure that if I tell you some of my (relatively) short term goals and dreams, you will have some insight into who I am and what I want out of life.


1. Go snorkeling.
2. Get into graduate school. (March 2013)
3. Get my first "big girl" apartment with Boy and Dog.
4. Lose 25 pounds.
5. Create and maintain a healthy lifestyle (created Febtuary 2013).
6. Go skinny dipping.
7. Work for my dream company, J.Crew.
8. Buy a classic, investment handbag.
9. Go to Disney World with Boy.
10. Buy a MacBook.
11. Read The Hobbit.
12. Organize my iTunes/music files.
13. Back up all my music files.
14. Send fifty hand written notes (20/50)
15. Get personalized stationary.
16. Monogram my bedspread.
17. Have a photoshoot done with Boy and Dog (March 2013).
18. Figure out a daily makeup routine best for me.
19. Figure out my perfect haircut/style. (November 2013)
20. Get new eyeglasses. (October 2013)
21. See Hanson in concert again.
22. Concretely define my personal sense of style/decorating. ("Politician's Wife; November 2013)
23. Create "signature" posts that showcase my personality.
24. Learn to French braid.
25. Make every Red Velvet recipe pinned to my Pinterest board (1/14)
26. Find a signature quote that I feel correctly sums me up.

28. Go to Washington, D.C.
29. See the Eiffel Tower in person.
30. Buy Dog a bow-tie collar.
31. Figure out how to work Polyvore(February 2013).
32. Get a facial  (June 2013)
33. Make it to the top of the Empire State Building.
34. Ride a rollercoaster.
35. Replace all of my makeup items with higher end items.
36. Run a whole 5K.
37. Find my perfect agenda.
38. Organize everything in my life completely using things from the Container Store.

40. Be an extra in a movie/TV show.
41. Meet a celebrity.
42. Publish my research to a peer-reviewed journal.
43. Re-connect with five old friends.
44. Create a space worthy of a decor magazine.
45. Get my hair done at a Dry Bar.

96. Do something in the moment that I have complete reservations about doing.

98. Procure a KitchenAid standing mixer, some way, some how.
99. Make my own pasta.
100. Go a month where I blog every day.
101. Open, and actually use, a savings account. (opened October 2013)
